PFLAG Midland-Odessa is dedicated to creating a safer, more inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. Through education, advocacy, and support, we work to challenge discrimination, uplift marginalized voices, and foster acceptance in our local schools, workplaces, and public spaces.

Education

We provide resources, workshops, and training that foster understanding and create safer spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. By sharing knowledge and personal stories, we aim to replace misinformation with empathy and acceptance. We invite you to learn with us and help build a more informed, compassionate Midland-Odessa.

Support

We know that coming out can sometimes be a confusing and isolating experience, but it doesn’t have to be. PFLAG Midland-Odessa has bi-monthly open support meetings for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies who wish to better understand them, where you can talk freely in a safe environment.

Public Awareness

Visibility and advocacy go hand in hand. We attend city council meetings, school board sessions, and other public forums to ensure LGBTQ+ voices are heard and represented in local decision-making. By showing up and speaking out, we aim to foster dialogue about the issues that matter most to our community—one conversation, one meeting, and one policy at a time.
